OF SPRING VALLEY, NEW YORK
THE EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN AND MISSIONARY ALLIANCE CHURCH IS A CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY THAT TEACHES THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WITH A MESSAGE OF LOVE, HOLINESS, POWER AND BALANCE.
Evangelical Christian Alliance Church is a place were we Worship, Love, Grow, Serve; we are a part of a Christ-centered global movement. Our Acts 1:8 family—inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit—is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and world.
The Evangelical Christian Alliance Church and Missionary is an evangelical Protestant denomination within the holiness movement of Christianity. The Holy Spirit indwells, teaches, and empowers believers; We’ve been a local church for over thirty-five years, we are now in a season of resurgence and redevelopment were Jesus is on the move–rescuing, transforming, healing, and reviving hope. We’re like a church RE-plant where God’s Spirit is moving! We are a church community on a mission to make a difference for Jesus in our world today.
We are part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA), which is a Jesus-centered missions and church planting worldwide movement. Our Mission is making disciples of Jesus who calls us to a life of self-sacrifice, deep spiritual growth, love in community, and partnering with God’s rescue mission for the world. As a multicultural church we seek to glorify God locally and globally, by reaching the unbelievers and developing growing followers of Christ, through using small and large groups.
We’re Christ-Centered
Our Alliance family celebrates Jesus—the image of the invisible God, the Lord of all Creation!
“For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.” Colossians 2:9-10
Our heartbeat is to know Jesus as our:
Savior
Acts 4:12
Sanctifier
1Cor. 1:30
Healer
James 5:15
Coming King
Acts 1:11
Mission among all nations
Matt. 28:18 – 20
Because of whom He is and what He’s done, we are compelled to “go!” Humbled by the open invitation He extends to us—what we call the Great Commission—we join Him in His work to restore and reconcile lost and broken people to Himself.
We Rely on His Spirit
Acts 1:8 is in our DNA. We are convinced it is only by the Holy Spirit’s empowerment that we can fully express Jesus’ love, compassion, and mercy to those who do not know Him.
“… But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
We Are Family
We are part of Christ’s Church—His chosen means to fulfill His purposes on earth, restoring a lost and broken world until He returns to reclaim it.
“…so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:5
We Love Our Neighbors
Our Alliance family extends His love to everyone we meet; we walk with our neighbors through the steep challenges life brings, introducing them to the One who offers true hope. We plant churches in spiritually thirsty, discipline and mentoring new believers to become healthy, passionate Jesus followers
The Evangelical Christian Alliance Church and Missionary, formerly the Independent Christian Alliance Church of Spring Valley, was established in 1982 on the ground floor of the local Episcopal Church in Madison. Three years later the church had experienced unprecedented hardships that reduced it to about 15 members. These are the 15 members who had designated Rev. Ronet Germain as their pastor.
In 1987 the church had to meet at the funeral chapel of Raven funeral home. A year later, in 1988, the church purchased a house at # 30 Summit Ave. That she was turning into a house of worship.
It was in June 1994 that the church acquired the former building of the French-speaking Baptist Church, which was rebuilt in 2016 and inaugurated in April 2017.
It should be noted that the decision to affiliate to the Christian Alliance Mission in 1995 not only changed the name of the church but also allowed and helped the construction of this new building.
The cross: Jesus Christ our Savior
The cross represents the price that was paid by Jesus Christ to reconcile human beings with God and reconcile human beings to one another. It is there that one sees the perfection of the justice and the love of God. The just is dead for the unjust to invite them to have a personal relationship with God.
The jug: Jesus Christ our Healer
We believe that God is still healing today. Much of Jesus’ ministry was to heal the sick and deliver those who were tormented by evil spirits. The Lord has also given this power to his disciples.
The cup: Jesus Christ our Sanctifier
To create in the image of God, the human being has an extraordinary potential to do good, to create beautiful things, to defend the truth. However, the entry of sin into the world has corrupted human nature by making it tend towards egoism, violence, injustice. A Christian is someone who lets himself be transformed by the Holy Spirit, more and more in the image of Jesus Christ.
The crown: Jesus Christ our King who returns
Jesus will return not only to judge and reward the living and the dead, but also to establish his eternal kingdom. In the meantime, the proclamation of the good news to all nations must be fulfilled: ” This good news of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world, to serve as a witness to all nations, and the end will come. ” Matthew 24: 14
The earth: Mission among all nations
After his resurrection, the Lord Jesus Christ instructed His disciples to go out into the whole world to proclaim the good news to all nations. This great mandate is at the heart of the values of our family of churches.
